SCVorsprung - In Brief

Showing Vorsprung At Work

Vorsprung is not us, we, you, or they, me, I - it is simply within and without.

SC
Vorsprung is an all-sports club supported by The Vorsprung Academy.

Its aims are to:

• Make sports enjoyable and fun.

• Engage people who have lost interest in sports since reaching adulthood.

• Re-introduce people to sports, people who have found most sports too corporate and unnecessarily aggressive.

Included in
SCV's remit is the aim for all sports to be played in a safe and friendly environment: making it appealing for people with mental health issues, as well as physical impairments.

"SCV promotes a more embodied experience of playing sports. Helping people value the whole of their body and promote the health of their body."

SCVorsprung's

agenda is to try to encourage people of all abilities, age and any gender to play sports for fun.

SCVorsprung seeks to play any sport, and in doing so, promotes a healthy association with sporting activities and mental and physical health. Making sports activities a friendly social environment.

To date we have established regular 5/6/7-aside Football matches, mixed-gender Netball matches, mixed-gender Basketball matches and track running events. Our participants are fluid and we encourage people from any area to engage in our teams or training programmes.

As a base for our training programmes, we centre our exercises on the principles of The
Vorsprung Project or have developed training programmes influenced or inspired by The Vorsprung Project.

This means, that, all our training activities are safe for any age or ability and anyone with an under-lying health issue. Additionally, because they are founded on neuro-dynamic principles, they will enhance the communication pathways from the brain-to-the-body and the-body-to-the-brain, which will improve the mind-and-the-body function and efficiency.

SCVorsprung encourages links and partnership with other clubs and offers any club, that, does link or partner SCVorsprung the opportunity to join-in and learn a warm-up session, training session, or sports-specific tactical session. All of which are aimed at reducing the impact on the NHS services and improving the longevity of participants activities.
